The Spend Management Service (Thesis) report from NAIS
March 4, 2016
After three days exhibiting at the NAIS Annual Conference (National Association of Independent Schools) in San Francisco, Thesis representatives report several frequently heard topics of conversation among attendees: 1. School finances are taking a larger proportion of school leaderships’ time. Fundraising, Cost control, tuition control and effect on enrollment are right now concerns ‘on the front burner’. 2. The world of schools has become complex. Demographic, legal, technology, regulatory and curriculum changes are requiring that school leadership possess higher levels of business, organizational and management skills. 3. While there was much technology on display, from completing forms on one’s smartphone to digital dissection tables, there was very little technology on display dealing with the major concerns of school leadership. It will be interesting to compare the NAIS conference with the NCEA (National Catholic Education Association) Conference this month. The Thesis team will be there. We believe that our integrated Spend Improvement Service is totally on target with what large private schools need.
